Lisa Lazar (Course Director)
I learned to dive in 1985 in a very cold quarry in Canada.
After discovering the ocean I moved to California to attend PADI International
College. I graduated in 1988 as an instructor and began teaching immediately.
I have had the opportunity to dive around the world as well as many
lakes and quarries across the U.S.

Jerry Warling (IDC Staff Instructor)
I learned to dive in Lake Michigan in 1960. After joining the Navy
in 1966, I had the opportunity to dive all over the world in including
the Mediterranean, The Caribbean, the North and South Pacific and
the Indian Ocean. In 1986 I became part owner of a dive charter boat
and had the pleasure of taking many divers to enjoy the beauty of
the Channel Islands. I became an instructor in 1995. I am certified
to teach all levels including deep diver, drysuit, equipment, buoyancy,
night, naturalist, navigator and wreck diver. |

Bob McClurg (Specialty Instructor)
I learned to dive in 1962 and was certified in 1967. After logging
thousands of dives in the local Channel Islands and working as a
Divemaster for many years. I became an Instructor in 1993. Diving
is the greatest sport in the world, so I like teaching it because
I can share it with others. What I like best is listening to the
excitement in a beginners voice as they describe what they saw on
their first dive! Once your certified I'll teach you how to hunt
for lobsters - that's my second favorite thing! I am a volunteer
on the Underwater Search and Rescue Team for Ventura County and
am certified by PADI to teach all levels including enriched air,
deep, drift and medic first aid.

I started blowing bubbles in 1967 at the age of 10 when my father
rented a two hose regulator and tank from a gas station/diveshop
in Yucaipa, CA. I got certified in 1972 and became a PADI Instructor
in 1993. I have been involved with many type of diving, including
commercial, research and technical sport diving. My favorite diving
activity is U/W photography. I try to publish at least once a year.
Being able to capture an image from the underwater world and share
it with people is very rewarding. I hope to be doing it well into
old age. I primarily teachWater and Enriched Air/Nitrox courses.

Lou Ciarimboli (IDC Staff Instructor)
I began recreational diving in 1978 and have logged over 3000 dives
to date. Diving has taken me to many places including the South
Pacific and Central America, but my favorite dive destinations are
Palau, Micronesia and Cozomel Mexico. I began my professional career
in 1995 as a Divemaster for the "Youth Quest" program
which teaches diving to underprivileged youth in the Los Angeles
area. I became an instructor in 1997 and really enjoy seeing the
excitement of the first time diver as well as helping experienced
divers advance their skills. I hold a U.S. Coast Guard Masters License
which allows me to operate my own dive charter business. Join me
on the "No Respect" for fun, easy, comfortable diving.
